MOVING THE NEEDLE ON FAMILY FAITH FORMATION: For pastors, catechists, families
Church documents are clear, and research is mounting about the urgency of parent involvement to effectively pass on faith to our children. This session will share why family engagement is essential and suggest strategies and models parishes can implement that integrate the family into traditional religious education. It will offer practical ways and examples of how to encourage family faith practices and how to accompany and coach parents, through ideas that resonate with families to nurture faith. Join us Saturday, October 12, from 9 a.m to 3:30 p.m. at St. Agnes School in Lake Placid to consider the “why” of family faith formation and ideas of “how” to do just that!

HAVE A HEART TO HEART WITH GOD: Deepen your love of the Holy Eucharist (online)
You are invited to our next Friendship Group Meeting on Thursday, September 26, at 7 p.m. via Zoom. We will discuss the introduction and first chapter of the book "Beloved Lover" by FAther Gregory Cleveland, OMV. While a great read for priests and seminarians, lay men and women can gain insight into the life and spirituality of the priest and be inspired to live their own priesthood of the faithful more fervently, as they read engaging real-life stories and meditations, and are lead through relational and transformative reflection questions and prayer exercises.

Lord God, help all of us to continue to find love and hope more fully in our lives ahead!

ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP:
for the October 1 Bulletin
In Benedict XVI words: “In recent decades the doctrine of Creation had almost disappeared from theology, it was almost imperceptible. We are now aware of the damage that this has caused. The Redeemer is the Creator and if we do not proclaim God in his full grandeur – as Creator and as Redeemer – we also diminish the value of the Redemption.” This week let us take a moment to be in awe of the magnificence of the work of the Creator from the smallest fingerprint to the grandest wonder of nature.
