eNOTES is a biweekly diocesan newsletter which is sent to the following distribution lists: all priests, diocesan staff, deacons, deacon candidates, bookkeepers and secretaries, catechetical leaders, principals, commissioned lay ministers, diocesan finance council, diocesan pastoral council, and pastoral associates and seminarians. NFP AWARENESS WEEK JULY 25-31
NFP Awareness Week, an annual educational campaign of the USCCB, invites everyone to discover the wise design of God for sexuality and married love. The Natural Family Planning Office is mailing posters and other materials to all parishes; additional copies upon request.
"TO HAVE, TO HOLD, TO HONOR." The theme for National NFP Awareness Week, July 25-31, invites all to discover how Natural Family Planning supports God's gifts of love and life in marriage. In THE JOY OF LOVE (AL, 222), Pope Francis specifically calls attention to these healthy, effective, morally acceptable, and truly organic approaches to family planning. He writes, "They are to be promoted, since these methods respect the bodies of the spouses, encourage tenderness between them, and favor the education of an authentic freedom." GUGGENHEIM SUMMER FUN DAYS: Spend a fun day at Camp Guggenehim
We have a great opportunity for you this summer!
While Guggenheim is getting a little work done, we are excited to be able to offer a few day events this July 2021. Whether you’re a seasoned camper or someone who has never heard of Camp Guggenheim before, a Guggenheim Summer Fun Day is for you! Bring your friends! Choose your day to attend. July 29th or July 30th for 12 to 15 year old’s and, July 31st is for 16 to 18 year old’s. We have a bunch of great stuff planned for you. From swimming to Super Scavenger Hunt, Beach Luau, youth focused Liturgy and more! You are guaranteed a great day at Camp Guggenheim. We will provide snacks and drinks. Please bring your own bag lunch. You will also need to bring a bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, and bug spray. The fee to attend is: $15.00 per day event.
COVID-19 VACCINATION REQUIRED TO ATTEND
You must be vaccinated for the COVID-19 virus to attend and participate in a Guggenheim Summer Fun Day.

ANNUAL MISSION OFFICE SAINT PETER APOSTLE APPEAL: Annual Mail-in Donor Campaign
As we enter the summer of what we hope to be better year, the Pontifical Mission Societies asks you to keep our Annual Saint Peter Apostle Appeal in your minds and hearts. With your help we can aid the seminarians around the world on their journey to the priesthood. Donations can be made for this campaign until July 31- by mail or through our website at https://www.rcdony.org/mission.

Did You Know…victims of trafficking do not seek help or leave for the following reasons: (1) Isolation – victims are often confined and isolated from friends and family; (2) Fear – Victims are often physically abuse and they and their loved ones are often threatened; (3) Victims often blame themselves, feel hopeless, and do not see a way out of the situation; (4) Dependency – victims may become dependent on drugs and/or develop a trauma bond with their traffickers, both of which makes it difficult to escape.

However, top climate scientists around the globe rank refrigeration as one of the greatest contributor of global warming.* Some simple actions to decrease more carbon emissions into the atmosphere is to raise the temperature control on your air conditioner or climate control a few degrees in your home or office. KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS: 73rd Annual Pilgrimage - St. Anne 's Shrine, Isle LaMotte
On Sunday, July 18th, Knights of Columbus from throughout the Diocese of Ogdensburg will participate in their 73rd annual pilgrimage to St. Anne’s Shrine in Isle LaMotte, Vermont. Most Reverend Terry A. LaValley will celebrate mass at 12:15 p.m. Knights and their families can enjoy lunch in the shrine cafeteria or they can bring a lunch to enjoy on the shrine’s beautiful grounds.
St. Anne’s Shrine is located on the shores of Lake Champlain, only a few miles from the Rouses Point Bridge. The Shrine’s religious history began in 1666 when the French erected a fort and chapel. The chapel was blessed in 1893, and a beautiful statue of St. Anne, the mother of Mary, was erected.

Are you someone who is gentle and trustworthy, not given to addictions or vice, hard-working and still active… someone who trusts God in all things, is wise in the things that are important, and takes great joy in the Roman Catholic faith? Perhaps you or someone you know would be a good resident at Our Lady of the Adirondacks House of Prayer, located in Ellenburg Center, NY. Or perhaps you are already part of a small community which is looking for a home and a mission. Come and visit us and see if the contemplative-active life is for you. A word of caution... the House of Prayer is very rural and isolated especially in the winter. As of the present moment, there is no community living there, but the Board of Directors is actively looking for 3-5 people, including a House Director, to live on its premises and help keep this Marian treasure vibrant within the North Country for all.
