PLANNED GIVING:

Give Your House and Continue to Live There - You may want to make a major gift to our parish. Why not consider real estate? This is called a life estate gift. This simply means that you give a piece of real estate, such as your residence, to our parish, obtain a charitable income tax deduction and retrain the right to live there as long as you want. This arrangement removes the property from your estate and relieves your executor from having to dispose of your home at your death. Contact Scott Lalone at the Diocese at 315-393-2920 or Email slalone@rcdony.org  for further information.

ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP:

for the September 14 Bulletin

The Seasons of Creation (Sept. 1-Oct. 4) 2025 theme is “Peace with Creation”, inspired by Isaiah 32:14-18. Peace is more than just the absence of war. In the Hebrew Bible, shalom represents a far deeper concept – one that extends beyond the absence of conflict to the full restoration of broken relationships, as illustrated in Isaiah’s vision. This restoration encompasses our relationship with God, ourselves, the human family, and the rest of Creation. (Season of Creation 2025 Guide) What can I do today to heal any broken relationships in my life?

NEW

ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP:

for the September 21 Bulletin

“There is hope for a peaceful Earth. Biblically, hope is active – it involves prayer, action, and reconciling with Creation and the Creator through repentance (metanoia) and solidarity. As Christians we are called to protect and nurture Creation in peace, working in partnership with others and passing this responsibility on to future generations.” (Season of Creation 2025 Guide) What action can I do today to ensure a healthier planet for our children to enjoy?

A common enemy in the spiritual life is discouragement, and Venerable Bruno Lanteri masterfully assisted his directees in overcoming it through his inspired, straightforward, practical counsels. At this meeting Father Gallagher will lead us in discussing the first half of this book.
