SATURDAY IS ALMOST FULLY BOOKED!
As part of the National Eucharistic Revival, the bishops of the State of New York are hosting a state-wide Eucharistic Congress October 20-22, 2023, at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Martyrs in Auriesville, New York. The New York Eucharistic Congress will take place over 40 hours from 7 p.m. on Friday night through an 11 a.m. Mass on Sunday. Pilgrims may come to part or all of the Congress, but REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Credentials to enter the site will be mailed to registered participants. The Congress will feature inspiring talks from renowned speakers, Mass with the New York Bishops with Bishop Terry LaValley as the homilist, Eucharistic adoration throughout both nights, opportunity for confessions, inspiring music and talks. Did You Know…a Safe Adult is someone a child can go to if they ever feel unsafe, have ever been hurt, or if they are not sure if a situation is unsafe. Safe Adults should be someone who (1) is an adult that can get them help if they are ever hurt or unsafe; (2) does not break safety rules or try to get the child to break them; (3) the child feels comfortable with and can easily talk to about difficult matters, and (4) the child can trust to keep them safe. Registration for the Our Lady of the Rosary Healing Retreat is now available. The retreat is open to 35 women over the age of 18. The retreat will be held at Wadham’s Hall in Ogdensburg October 5-8, 2023.

FAITH COMMUNITY NURSE FOUNDATIONS COURSE: Fall 2023
What: Using the Westberg Institute for Faith Community Nursing curriculum, this course is open to RN’s or other persons interested in health ministry in their church or community. Faith Community Nurses (Parish Nurses) provide health education and counseling, serve as patient advocates and connect patients to resources in the community. They care for the whole person - body, mind and spirit - with a particular focus on the spiritual.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY: Walking with Purpose
Walking with Purpose meetings will begin October 12, 2023 at St John’s Church in Plattsburgh in the Dwyer/McAvoy Parish Center. Meetings will be held at 10-11:45 a.m. and 6:30-8:15 p.m. on Thursdays until May 30, 2024. Two 22 week studies will be offered throughout this year. Cost of the books is $40. LEARN HOW TO PRAY THE MASS WITH YOUR HEART: A virtual life-changing opportunity
The next Friendship Group meeting will be held on Thursday, October 19 at 7 p.m. Eastern Time via Zoom. Father Leland Thorpe, OMV will talk with us about the book A Biblical Way of Praying the Mass by Father Tim Gallagher, OMV and answer your questions.

This will take place the same weekend as the New York State Eucharistic Congress in Auriesville, so we can unite in adoring the Real Presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist exposed in the monstrance.
