IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING COPYRIGHT:
We appreciate the work you put into creating engaging and aesthetically pleasing promotional materials for your events and programs. As you create posters, advertisements, social media posts or any public materials, please remember that using copyrighted images, video or audio content without appropriate permissions can result in fines and legal action.
Copyright laws protect creators and their works. To ensure we respect intellectual property, please apply the following guidelines.
-
Use Original Images: If possible, create your own images or graphics. This is the best way to ensure content meets your needs and poses no copyright risks.
-
Royalty-Free Resources: There are many websites, Pixabay for example, that offer royalty-free images.
-
Seek Permission: If you have your heart set on a specific image, reach out to the creator or copyright holder to request permission. Many are willing to grant it for educational or promotional purposes.
It’s easy to think our small parishes, schools or organizations won’t be caught using copyrighted content, but there are companies who exist solely to enforce copyrights and find violations, and they are searching the content we’re creating and sharing.
To ensure our copyright compliance moving forward, we will no longer accept any flyers or promotional materials containing graphics or images of any kind for eNotes or social media distribution. We’ll still be using approved graphics/images in the promotion of diocesan, statewide and national events and programs.
We sincerely appreciate your attention to this matter.

Did You Know (Artificial Intelligence - part 1) …Artificial Intelligence, or AI, is technology that enables computers and machines to simulate human intelligence and problem-solving capabilities. According to U.S. Department of Homeland Security, AI allows for the creation of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) in a variety of ways: (1) abusers can use AI to take an image of a child and make it appear as though the child is nude, or the child is engaged in sexual acts; (2) abusers can use AI to create an image of a child being sexually abused via text prompts. If you become aware of any sexually explicit images or videos involving children, please contact the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s Cyber Tipline at https://report.cybertip.org/. 33 DAYS TO EUCHARISTIC GLORY: 8 Week Book Study, Ogdensburg
A Spiritual Pilgrimage by Matthew Kelly
BEGINING NOVEMBER 11 ~ DECEMBER 30
At critical times throughout Salvation History, God’s people have been invited to consecrate themselves. We are at one of those critical times in history, and consecrating ourselves, our families, our country, and indeed, the whole world to the Eucharist may make all the difference.
33 Days to Eucharistic Glory is the first ever Eucharistic Consecration. This unprecedented spiritual resource presents profound truths, astonishing historical facts, powerful practical examples, a daily virtue to adopt, extraordinary prayers, and inspiring stories—all in an easy-to-follow daily format.
Life is a pilgrimage. It is a sacred journey toward our eternal home with God. Learn what it means to be a pilgrim in a world that is constantly trying to reduce you to a tourist and consumer. Journey with Mother Teresa, John Paul II, Thérèse of Lisieux, Maximilian Kolbe, Thomas Aquinas, Sister Faustina, the Children of Fatima, and Mary the Mother of God to experience Jesus in the Eucharist like never before.
Prepare yourself for an explosion of grace in your life. Grace is the assistance God gives us to do what is good, true, noble, and right. And there is no better way to receive God’s grace than through the Eucharist. Over the next thirty-three days you will learn how these great saints and others lived in Eucharistic Glory. This extraordinary spiritual guide will forever change the way you spend time with Jesus in the Eucharist.

MULTIPLE RAFFLES AT THE CATHOLIC PARISHES OF SOUTHERN LEWIS COUNTY:
Tickets for two separate raffles at the Catholic Parishes of Southern Lewis County are now on sale. The first raffle is the church’s traditional afghan raffle. Parish Council member Diane Markham has once again created a masterpiece. This year’s afghan is an 8x10 piece featuring a deer against a sunset background. It is truly a spectacular work of art. The drawing for it will take place at the conclusion of the annual Chinese auction on Saturday, November 2, 2024.
The second raffle is the Lenten Creation Raffle. During this past Lent, West Leyden native and parish council member Jeff Nellenback built a rustic sofa table, a bulky bench, and a wooden wall quilt. These will be raffled as a first, second and third prize raffle with the drawing taking place after 4p.m. Mass on December 21. Like the afghan these are amazing creations.
Tickets for each raffle are $5 a piece, or 5 for $20. They can be purchased after the 4 p.m. Mass, by calling the Parish office at 315-348-6104, online at https://catholicparishesofslc.weebly.com/tithely-giving.html or from any parish council member. The current parish council members are Vince Migliori, Joan Klingbail, Jane Allen, Audrey Houghtaling, Diane Markham, Joy Nellenback, Jeff Nellenback, Karen Williamson & Christine Stinebrickner.
