NEW YORK STATE DISCERNMENT RETREAT
Have you felt the invitation to follow Jesus Christ as a Catholic priest? The Vocation Directors of NY State are sponsoring the New York State Discernment Retreat at Christ the King Retreat Center, Syracuse,from January 2-4, 2024. Did You Know…that you do not need proof to report child trafficking. Every adult citizen, whether a mandatory reporter or not, should report suspected trafficking and child abuse. You do not need proof to make a report, only reasonable suspicion. The authorities will determine if trafficking is occurring. To report trafficking, call the National Human Trafficking Hotline (toll-free) at 1-888-373-7888. For more information, contact the Safe Environment Office at (315) 393-2920.

A CLINTON DEANERY FESTIVAL OF LESSONS AND CAROLS: Plattsburgh, New York

Holy Cross Parish is thrilled to announce its Festival of Lessons and Carols will be held on December 17 at 6 p.m. at St. John’s Church, 18 Broad Street in Plattsburgh.

The Festival of Lessons and Carols is a beloved tradition dating back over 100 years at King’s College, Cambridge. It combines the timeless beauty of Christmas carols with Scripture readings that summarize Salvation History.
This event will feature a choir comprised of talented individuals from area churches, coming together to prepare for Christmas through the beauty of music.
There is no cost to attend, and all are welcome. Donations are accepted. Mark your calendars, and join us for this joyful and prayerful time.
