CELEBRATE CHRIST: Called to Lead

Leadership is a vital factor in the implementation of our diocesan priorities: creating a culture of vocations, engaging families in the faith formation of their children and providing age appropriate opportunities for our youth leading to their encounter with Christ and His Church. ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP

(for the September 23/24 Bulletin)

The catastrophic global weather events in September have drawn even the skeptics to acknowledge changes in the environment. Many others are drawn to read/reread Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si. This is not about blame, it is about responsible stewardship. Observing these events at a safe distance via TV, can you find an active, positive response in your own pattern of living that is environmentally responsible. For example, carry a reusable mug.

NEW

ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP

(for the September 30/October 1)

As we continue to celebrate the Season of Creation, here are some suggestions from others in response to Pope Francis’ call to an ecological conversion in Care for Our Common Home. Make a list! Combine errands to save gas. Reuse food-safe containers. Go deeper into the benefits afforded to our planet by solar power.
