On January 16, 2018, Governor Cuomo introduced his budget bill which includes a dangerous abortion expansion proposal. If the budget passes, virtually all limitations on abortion will be lifted. This is urgent because the law requires the budget be passed by April 1st. Go to www.nyscatholic.org  and let your senator know that you do not support this harmful proposal. SUBSCRIBE TO THE NORTH COUNTRY CATHOLIC:

The annual subscription campaign for the North Country Catholic has begun. During the upcoming year, the North Country Catholic will be a critical source of information and evangelization as we continue to explore the pastoral vision which Bishop LaValley has announced for our diocese. In a message about the NCC, the bishop said, “I depend on our Catholic newspaper to serve as a critical means of communication as we move forward together with a mutually shared vision for the future of the church in our beloved diocese.”

Bishop LaValley has asked that the diocesan newspaper be welcomed in every Catholic home in the diocese.  For more than seven decades years, the North Country Catholic has provided a Catholic perspective on the news of the day, kept us informed of all the important activities in our far-flung diocese and provided spiritual enrichment through a wide variety of writers for all ages.

The price for a year’s subscription is $27 for Catholics who live in the Diocese of Ogdensburg. An out of diocese subscription is $30.

You may also want to consider becoming a patron of the NCC for $35, $50, $100 or $250 which allows the newspaper to maintain an affordable subscription rate for all.

For more information or to subscribe go to www.northcountrycatholic.org or contact the office at 315-608-7556
