The Leader’s Playbook is your springboard into the Year of Parish Revival, providing concrete steps you can take to answer each of the four invitations at the heart of this movement. PLANNED GIVING: Give Your House and Continue to Live There

You may want to make a major gift to our parish. Why not consider real estate: This is called a life estate gift. This simply means that you give a piece of real estate, such as your residence, to our parish, obtain a charitable income tax deduction and retrain the right to live there as long as you want. This arrangement removes the property from you estate and relieves your executor from having to dispose of your home at your death. Contact Scott Lalone at the Diocese at 315-393-2920 or Email slalone@rcdony.org for further information.

SAFE ENVIRONMENT CORNER: Did you know? ...

Did You Know…early grooming efforts by sexual predators seek to determine if the child has a stable home life or if the family is facing challenges like divorce, foster care, poverty, illness, drugs, homelessness, etc. Children lacking stability at home are at higher risk for sexual abuse, as there is usually more access to the child and opportunities to abuse the child. Child molesters also target kids who are loners, or who look troubled or neglected. For more information, contact the Safe Environment Office at (315) 393-2920

WORLD DAY OF PRAYER FOR THE SANCTIFICATION OF PRIESTS-JUNE 16, 2023
All pastors, catechists, principals

Bulletin Announcement:
World Day for the Sanctification of Priests takes place every year on the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. This day is celebrated on Friday, June 16, 2023. On this special feast, let us pray for your parish priest and for all the priests of the Diocese of Ogdensburg. May our prayer be for their continual growth in holiness, their sanctification that configures them to the Person of Jesus Christ. Every day our priests pray for us and for our intentions as they preside over Mass, hear confessions, baptize, or bury our loved ones. Our priests need our prayers. Take time to tell them that you are praying for them and thank them for their dedication. You never know what your parish priest or pastor is going through, sacrificing out of love for his parishioners.

Mass Announcement:
Today is the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and World Priest Day, which is a day set aside to pray for priests, so we encourage each of you to pray in a special way today for Father______________ that he is strengthened and renewed each day as he serves as a priest of Jesus Christ.
Prayers of the Faithful
For Father_______, our (pastor, associate pastor) in his ministry to the People of (parish name), that the Holy Spirit will come down upon him and light his heart anew for the priesthood, we pray to the Lord.
That we may never take the presence of our priests for granted, as we cherish the celebration of the Mass and are nourished by the Eucharist, we pray to the Lord.
Prayer for Bulletin
Sacred Heart of Jesus, protect our priest_____in the midst of his work at our parish______________. Comfort him in his afflictions. Give him health of body, assistance in his temporal needs, and your blessing on all that he does. We ask the Holy Spirit to come down and light his heart anew for the priesthood and help him to grow in holiness
