SAFE ENVIRONMENT CORNER: Did you know? ...
Did You Know… Summer is a time to have fun. Here are some things you can do to help you stay safe, too. (1) Say NO if someone tries to treat you in a way that makes you confused or scared, and tell your parents or a trusted adult right away; (2) Talk with your parents about which online activities are safe and which are not; (3) Use the “buddy” system when you go swimming, and always make sure a trusted adult is supervising. For more information, contact the Safe Environment Office at (315) 393-2920.

ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP: Creation Care Tips
for the August 6/7 Bulletin
A challenge from Pope Benedict XVI's Message for the Celebration of World Day of Peace §7 (2010): "When making use of natural resources, we should be concerned for their protection and consider the cost entailed – environmentally and socially – as an essential part of the overall expenses incurred." Consider how my daily actions this week heed this challenge and commit to one new way.

ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP: Creation Care Tips
for the August 13/14 Bulletin
Thomas Merton wrote: “By reading the scriptures I am so renewed that all nature seems renewed around me and with me. The sky seems to be a pure, a cooler blue, the trees a deeper green. The whole world is charged with the glory of God and I feel fire and music under my feet.” What in scripture and nature renews and enlivens you? Share this with another person.
