SUGGESTED BULLETIN INSERT: To Parents of our Children

RELAX! God put the wiggle in children; don't feel you have to suppress it in God's House. All are welcome to join us for Mass in God's House. Sit toward the front where it is easier to see and hear. Quietly explain the parts of the Mass to your children. Sing the hymns and songs, and pray the responses together. Children learn liturgical behavior by copying you. If you must leave Mass with your child, please feel free to do so, but please come back. As Jesus said, "Let the children come to Me."

Remember that the way we welcome children in Church directly affects the way they respond to the Church, to God and to one another. Let them know that they are at home in This House of Worship. To the members of our Parish, a smile of encouragement is always welcome to parents with small, active children. The presence of children is a gift to the Church. They give us a future of hope.

ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP

(for the November 10/11 Bulletin)

As we observe the changing of seasons, Fall reminds us of joyful beauty and the restful period of Winter that follows. Our earth continually cycles through; we must remember this and also know that we as stewards need to preserve and protect. "Joy adapts and changes, but it always endures ... when everything is said and done we are infinitely loved." -- Pope Francis

MEN SHARPEN MEN: Ogdensburg, NY

In this day and age when we have more gadgets and gizmos to make our lives easier and less complicated, WHY do we find ourselves so stressed-out and out of time to do the things we want and need to do? How do we sort it all out and make our lives better? What do we as CATHOLIC men need to do, and how can we make a positive impact in the lives of the men around us, especially our children and grandchildren? God has a lot to say about the role and responsibilities of men.

Let us gather together so that we can make a difference in the lives of one another, for scripture says, “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.” (Pro 27:17).

All men are welcome and encouraged to join us where “Men Sharpen Men” Starting Saturday,

November 3rd at 8:30 AM. We will meet in the Bishop Brzana Hall of St. Mary’s Cathedral each Saturday morning. Please sign up at our Parish website at www.ogdensburgcatholics.org/men.
