FROM THE BISHOP'S OFFICE:
SUGGESTED BULLETIN INSERT: To Parents of our Children
RELAX! God put the wiggle in children; don't feel you have to suppress it in God's House. All are welcome to join us for Mass in God's House. Sit toward the front where it is easier to see and hear. Quietly explain the parts of the Mass to your children. Sing the hymns and songs, and pray the responses together. Children learn liturgical behavior by copying you. If you must leave Mass with your child, please feel free to do so, but please come back. As Jesus said, "Let the children come to Me."
Remember that the way we welcome children in Church directly affects the way they respond to the Church, to God and to one another. Let them know that they are at home in This House of Worship. To the members of our Parish, a smile of encouragement is always welcome to parents with small, active children. The presence of children is a gift to the Church. They give us a future of hope.

ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP
(for the November 17/18 Bulletin)
How will you DO thanks giving? As a Nation we set aside a day to enjoy the fruits of the harvest and to give thanks to God for all of our blessings. Along with our Native American neighbors we know that every day is a day to give thanks. After you pray, how do you DO thanks? Some possibilities are: share your meal with someone, cook only what you can eat with no waste, shop for locally grown foods. How will you DO thanks this Thanksgiving?
NEW
ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP
(for the November 24/25 Bulletin)
Did you know …that this is the six year anniversary of the canonization of St. Kateri Tekakwitha (1656-1680)? She is known as the “Lily of the Mohawks,” and has been named patron of ecology. Because Kateri so easily found God in creation, she is so easily associated with ecological protection and environmentalism. Let us pray to her for guidance and wisdom to find one way to “care for our common home” this week.
