ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP
(for the January 13/14 Bulletin)
What’s on your list of New Year resolutions? Is one of them lowering your ecological footprint? Ecological Footprint accounting measures the demand on and the supply of nature. It measures the ecological assets that a given population requires to
produce the natural resources it consumes and to absorb its waste, especially carbon emissions. To check out your “ecological footprint,” see Global Footprint Network.

ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP
(for the January 20/21 Bulletin)
How can my simple small acts to ‘ reduce, reuse and recycle’ possibly contribute to peace in the world? In his message on World Day of Peace 2018 Pope Frances names ‘environmental degradation’ as one of the factors contributing to the tragic increase in numbers of migrants and refugees fleeing for their lives. Our responsible use of God’ gifts that are meant for everyone is one step that we can make towards building a more just and compassionate world.
