ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP

(for the January 27/28 Bulletin)

A Tip for 'caring for our common home:' During cold weather, check the air pressure in the tires of your vehicles. Cold air can cause tires to become underinflated, which results in greater gas consumption and a higher carbon footprint.

ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP

(for the February 3/4 Bulletin)

Now that winter is upon us here are some tips for ways to save energy. Consider a whole house humidifier to lower the room temperature about 5 degrees and still stay comfortable. Install reversible ceiling fans or change the settings if you have a reversible fan, in winter, by reversing the fan's directions, you can drive the hot air down the walls from the ceiling to warm the room.
