Fr. Bryan Stitt, Chaplain of the Diocese of Ogdensburg Catholic Committee on Scouting presided at the 19th Annual Diocesan Bishop’s Scout Mass at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Lake Placid on October 20, 2013. Fr. Stitt blessed the religious emblems and awarded them with Diocesan Chairman of the Diocese of Ogdensburg Catholic Committee on Scouting to the following recipients:

The Diocese of Ogdensburg Catholic Committee on Scouting (DOCCS) has been awarded the "Quality Diocesan Committee Award" by the National Catholic Committee on Scouting for 2013. The DOCCS has been award the Quality Diocesan Committee Award each year since 2007. The award was attained for: Promoting the Pope Paul VI National Quality Unit Award; offering Religious Emblems Counselor Training for adults; assisting the local Councils in new unit cultivation and membership retention; conducting the annual Catholic Scout Retreat and Bishop's Scout Mass for the presentation of youth and adult emblems and recognition awards; and hosting a website to promote activities like the Hike to a Mountain Top Mass, the youth St. George Trek in New Mexico, and the Scouting in the Catholic Church adult training program at the Philmont Training Center in New Mexico.
