The Roman Catholic Diocese of Ogdensburg is seeking a Diocesan Insurance Claims and Risk Manager. This position is responsible for directing the Diocesan self-funded insurance programs and loss control activities, claims administration, preparing loss analysis, identifying exposures, recommending solutions, implementing approved programs, promoting loss prevention, updating and monitoring compliance with insurance procedures and developing safety/risk management policies. Also responsible for coordinating efforts to control and mitigate loss-producing conditions and activities involving unsafe working conditions, employee accidents and injuries, citizen claims against the Diocese, property, or vehicle damage and related events. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent Professional Designation (CPCU or ARM) and 5-10 years risk management experience. Knowledge of insurance laws, risk management practices, safety inspections and research/data collection method required. Experience with field insurance claims adjustment is preferred.
